Amazing Animals Science Book for Kids

We are really into science in our house. I have a couple of boys in my house who are big animal lovers. So anything animal science related is always a big favorite here. I came across these animals science books called the Scanorama Series by Silver Dolphin Books. The Scanorama books give you an X-ray view of the inside of animals!  Your kids will go nuts over them!  Well, mine did anyway.

There are three different Scanorama books in the series: Amazing Animals, Deadly Predators and Dinosaurs.  These books are interactive non-fiction books for kids and are packed full of fun information. There are bright real-life photos, fascinating facts, and flaps to lift.  But, the really cool part are the x-ray scans that you can slide across the page to see the skeleton of the animals! As you slide it you see different parts of the animal skeleton. Underneath it explains the different parts of the skeleton so kids can learn about it. 

What Topics Does the Scanorama: Amazing Animals Book Cover?

In the Amazing Animals book, it gives Top 5 lists of the following 12 categories: Biggest Beasts, Fastest Movers, Awesome Brainpower, The Kingdom’s Strongest, Amazingly Tiny, Ruthless and Deadly, Glowing Bright, Longest Lifespan, Mega Migrators, The Weird and Wonderful, The World’s Toughest, and Camouflage Experts.

Within each category it has 5 different animals. It has photos of each and facts related to that animal: where it lives, it’s size and more!

My kids are obsessed with these Scanorama books!  My younger son and I have read it together so many times since we got it. What I love about it is that it is packed with information. We learned so much about different animals as we read it.But, this is no boring non-fiction book!  It draws kids in making them want to learn more. These are great educational books to use in school or just at home for fun.
