Cheerios Learning: Shapes, Patterns & Letters

This post may contain affiliate links.

Cheerios have long been our snack of choice for our young kids. I love the Cheerios patterns books and have been using them with my toddlers for years! I decided to make my own set of Cheerios learning activities with some shapes and patterns play mats for my youngest. This is a sponsored post in behalf of Cheerios and Acorn Influence. I am being compensated for my time in writing this, but all thoughts and ideas are mine alone.

cheerios learning: Shapes, Patterns & Letters

Cheerios are one of my daughter’s favorites. In fact, she calls them “baby cereal” and eats them most mornings for breakfast! She is preferential to the Honey Nut flavor. We pick ours up at the local Walmart store.

Cheerios has a lovely campaign going on right now called Give a Box, Get a Box. Watch the movie about it here. Along with that theme, I decided to make these Cheerios shapes, patterns, & letters activity cards not only for my kids, but for a dear friend at my church. She has a set of twin toddlers (as well as 2 other kids) who keep her so busy at church. I was trying to think of a simple way I could help her and make her life easier. I thought this would be a great way to keep her little ones busy during church so she can have a better time there. I am laminating a set to give to her for her kids along with a box of Cheerios.

I want to share it with all of you, too!  You can grab it in my shop!

This fun Cheerios learning and play set includes all of the letters and numbers, shapes, patterns and counting activities. So it works for lots of ages!  To make it, I printed and laminated ours and put them not a ring to keep it all together. This is easy to transport, too. Then kids can follow the image on the cards and create their own shapes, patterns and letters out of Cheerios! A good way to make it work in church or any other location is with a little lapboard or a hard book.

You can find a code inside Cheerios boxes to get your free box to give away. Find your code inside specially marked packages in stores and enter it on http://wm6.walmart.com/Gluten-Free-Cheerios to send a coupon for a free box of Cheerios to someone that matters.

We are excited to give our gift this week to our friends!
