We are always excited to find a fun new children’s music artist.  I was contacted by Mr. Roberelli to see if I would share their music with you on my site.  I had not heard of their music, but when I checked out the website site, I was excited to have the chance to listen to their music!  Plus they have offered a giveaway to my readers & I know we all love that. 🙂

(This is a sponsored review, but all thoughts are my own!)

Mr. Roberelli Children's Music

Mr. Roberelli is not an individual singer as the name sounds, but a group of three talented performers: Paul Depledge, Rob Wigley, Rochelle Depledge. They started in 2009. Rob Wigley is a primary school teacher and writes all of the songs for the band. They hail from New Zealand, but it is time for them to become well-known over in this part of the world!

Mr. Roberelli has 6 albums out to purchase with 94 songs. For this review, we received all of their albums! So we have really gotten a good feel of the music.  Their music is geared towards school-aged children and is played on the radio over in New Zealand and Australia. It is fun, catchy and a little bit quirky, which is just our style!  One of their songs,  ‘Beans about Beans’  (from the album Does the Bus Stop Here) won the 2011 APRA Children’s Song of the Year Award.

Performance

Their philosophy on music was what really excited me.  There is a huge amount of children’s music for young kids, but there is quite a gap for kids that are school-aged.  There is not much that is inspiring and enjoyable for this age, so they are pushed int the teen/adult music market too soon. This type of music is not age-appropriate.  Mr. Roberelli’s songs are designed to fail that gap.  Their music is appropriate for younger and older children to enjoy alike! There are many songs about events in history or other topics that make kids think, so the older kids really get something more out of it.
My kids have had a lot of fun listening to Mr. Roberelli’s music!  Each time I turn it on, they all come to listen and I find them tapping along or dancing. I have kids ages 10 an under and they all liked the songs. I was really glad that my 10-year-old enjoyed the music, because he is usually the one who asks for me to turn off the younger children’s music that we play! The lyrics are funny and interesting so you want to listen to see what comes next.  We also loved the guitar parts in the music. If you visit the educational tab on their site, they have lyrics and guitar chords so you can learn to play the songs, too!
Mr. Roberelli has offered 5 album downloads as giveaways to my readers!  This is so generous!  Make sure to enter~ Your chances to win are great!
You can find Mr. Roberelli on their website or on Facebook.
