God’s Little Princess Bedtime Devotional Book for Kids

I have a little princess in my home who loves all things pink and sparkly. She loves princesses, and girly things. She also loves learning about God and how she is God’s princess. When I was given the chance to review a new devotional book for kids by Sheila Walsh (an author we have LOVED in the past), I was pretty excited. God’s Little Princess: Bedtime Devotional is a darling little daily devotional book for kids, but especially for all of the little princesses in the world.

Gods Little Princess- Devotional Book for Kids

Each day the devotionals share a Bible scripture, a little thought for your princesses, and a fun section called “Goodnight Giggles and Grace”.  This part has a fun little activity, or thought along with a prayer related to that day’s devotional.  The 106 devotionals are short and sweet taking only a minute or two to read each night at bedtime. Throughout the book are sweet illustrations to go along with the devotionals. The cover is pink and sparkly with jewels and glitter!  Little girls will go nuts over it!

I got the book in the mail a little before Christmas, so I decided to save it and give it to my daughter for a Christmas present. She was so excited by this book and has actually told me that it was her favorite present. She has not once failed to remind me to read the devotionals to her each  night since she opened it. She then takes the book to bed with her and uses the prayer to help her say her own personal prayers at bedtime. I love that it is uplifting her as well as encouraging her to say her prayers on her own. The book is so sweet and so simple that it has been just perfect for my 6-year-old daughter.

In the words of my daughter:

“I like how they put prayers in the book so we can say them. I like how it teaches us. It makes me feel good when I read it at night. I like the sparkles and the pretty bed on the front of the book and all of the princesses in it. Their pets are cute, too.”

I want to know… What is the funniest thing your kids have ever prayed for?  I love the minds of children and the cutest things that they say in their prayers. My littlest one has to pray for Daddy to come home safe in EVERY prayer, even if his Dad is kneeling right next to him. 🙂 Love it!
