One of our favorite books around here is Little Cloud by Eric Carle. (Pretty much anything by Eric Carle is our fave! ) If you are looking for an easy craft or activity to go along with the Little Cloud book, try out some ink blot cloud shapes!  (See even more of our book activities for kids!)

Little Cloud Book Craft Idea- Ink Blot Cloud Shapes

In the book Little cloud, the little cloud turns into all different kinds of shapes. My kids just love it!  I think because we love to look at cloud shapes in real life, too.

This could not get much easier! Just get some blue paper and some white tempera paint. Fold the paper in half.

Put a few drops of white paint around the enter of the fold.  Here is the FUN part! Let your kids fold and press down.

It will make some LOVELY ink blot shapes!

Here comes the next fun part. Investigate the inkblot shapes and decide what you think they look like. Not everyone will agree on the shapes you see!  Try to convince others of your image, too! I loved all of their interpretations of the different shapes. There was always something I would not have noticed.

My kids loved this and wanted to do it again and again!
