I did a review earlier this year on the JumpStart website and they contacted me to do another review and giveaway here. I always enjoy working with them! JumpStart has become my 8-year-old son’s absolute favorite website to play. Anytime he plays on the computer, this is his go-to site. Since I did a review so recently, I thought I would highlight some of the new features they have launched since I last reviewed. JumpStart recently partnered with DreamWorks Animation and has a great new Madagascar Central Park Zoo included in the game. It is such a wonderful new addition and has added some VERY FUN new activities!
A little about the website: JumpStart is a website for kids ages 3-12. They have fun games as well as educational activities. I love it when learning is disguised as fun play! That is just what they do on JumpStart. You get to create your own character to play with, which can be changed whenever wanted.. The more you play, the more coins and stars you earn to purchase things in the game or to increase your ranking-giving you access to more content. JumpStart focuses on so many areas of learning including math, science and reading. It also has lots of free printable worksheets you can access from their site.
Pricing: They have a free membership, but there is a paid membership that gives you more access. The prices for the paid membership are $8.99/month, $74.99/year or $149.99/lifetime. Becoming a paid member also gives you access to Math Blaster– a great site that focuses all of the games on math skills.
The NEW Central Park Zoo– The new Madagascar themed zoo has fun games puzzles and activities related to the Madagascar 3 movie by DreamWorks. My son loves this! It has all the Madagascar characters (Alex, Marty, Melman, and Gloria) that you can click on and interact with. He really likes the Transmorpher Translator operation with the penguins that lets him turn people into animals!
Also at the zoo, you can jump on a train that takes you to Venice, Italy! Here you can see some really fun new features!
- Hide n’ Seek with Mort: find the lemur, Mort in Venice
- Italian Art: Learn about famous artwork and artists
- Photo Bomb: Sneak in the back-ground of tourist photos and make silly poses
- Penguin Fireworks: find all the missing pieces to set off the fireworks!
- Zoovenier Prize Wheel: Shoot the prize cannon to win some fun things.
- Surf n’ Slide: Ride the slides and answer questions to collect stickers
There are so many other wonderful adventures to explore in JumpStart, too. My son especially loves Marine Land- an underwater adventure that lets you go on missions and complete fun tasks. He was also excited to see Main Street decorated for his birthday. That made him feel pretty special!
JumpStart has offered to give away a free three-month membership to one of my readers here. If you would like to win this and try out their great new Madagascar adventures, please fill out the Rafflecopter form (it takes a second to load).
Disclosure: I was provided with a JumpStart Membership in order to test the product’s abilities and give my personal opinions on it. All opinions are my own and I am not compensated in any other way for this review.
