Learning With Bubble Wrap

We have used bubble wrap for a learning in a couple of fun ways lately that I wanted to share with you. (See trash really can be a treasure!)
Bubble Wrap Prints
Just paint onto the bubble wrap and press your paper onto it to make fun colorful prints.
My kids loved this. My daughter pretty much loves anything that involves paint. After we did this she told me I come up with the “funnest ideas”. It made me feel all warm & fuzzy inside to know that my efforts are appreciated! 🙂
She always chooses pink and purple for her paint colors. I love how she mixed the paint colors to make it look really colorful!
Bubble Wrap Sight Word Pop
The other project we did was with the bigger bubble wrap. I wrote sight words that she is learning right on the individual bubbles. As she read the word, she could pop the bubble. She loved this!
It is a little difficult to write on the bubbles.
It was great reading practice- but in a fun and sneaky way!
I love bubble wrap!! I’m going to have to remember the second project… I’ll bet she worked really hard to read all of her words so she could pop them 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
My daughter would LOVE the sight word game/practice. You are always so creative! Thanks for linking up to my Enchanted Thursdays Blog Hop!
All kids love bubble wrap! Great idea. Stopping by from Sun Scholars. Hope to see you at True Aim!
Thanks for sharing on our After School Link up. We just painted with bubble wrap this week too to make alligator skin. Can’t wait to share next friday. Hope you’ll join us next Sunday to share more about your After School Acitivities.
…you had me at bubble wrap!
What a great idea!
Thanks for sharing with my Super Link Party! 🙂
I love the sight words. I’ve never seen that before. Also, my sister is a piano/music teacher and she was looking for fun games for her kids. This could be used really well with music notes etc. I’ll have to share with her.
I LOVE bubble wrap. A great way to learn and explore!
Thanks for sharing on Kids Get Crafty!
Maggy
I am really fascinated with bubble wraps. I can sit for some time and just pop that stuff. It’s really amazing.
I love this!! You could also use numbers for number recognition or even sums and differences and when they are given a problem, they find the correct answer to POP! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!!
