I’d like to thank Cottonelle for sponsoring our potty training experience. All opinions about clean bums are my own.
We are RIGHT in the middle of potty training at our house. I will be honest and say it is not my favorite part of parenting. One of the hardest parts (besides all of the accidents) is teaching kids how to clean their bums. One trick I learned last time I went through this experience was to use flushable wipes. Flushable wipes (Like the awesome Cottonelle ones) help little ones get their bums much cleaner. I will also share a few more tips of what works at our house to help little ones feel confident.
My Potty Training Essentials:
Soft Toilet Paper (like Cottonelle)
Flushable Wipes (We LOVE Cottonelle Flushable ones)
Padded Underpants (to help absorb the leaks
Books, Apps or Movies about Potty Training to help them learn
A Potty Chart to track progress- print their favorite cartoon character one
Pull-Ups to wear to bed or out of the house
Potty Training Tips:
- Start the potty training process when you know you have several days to stay home and focus on it without much stress.
- Make sure your kids are ready- they will show you signs of readiness (telling you they need their diaper changed, asking to go on the potty, staying dry through the night)
- Be relaxed about the process. Don’t get upset about accidents. If they need a break, and need to go back to diapers, that is ok!
- Offer lots of encouragement!!

The Cottonelle® Fresh Care Flushable Cleansing Cloths feature SafeFlush Technology, so they not only offer you a confident clean but also start to break down immediately after flushing. They are safe for sewer and septic tanks. I LOVE the wipes dispenser!! It is so easy for kids to use. They are alcohol free, so they won’t cause any irritation. They are great for adults and kids.
