St. Patrick’s Day Rainbow Craft for Kids

I have a St. Patrick’s Day rainbow craft for kids to share with you today!  This was such a fun one to make. My kids and I all enjoyed this. Even my oldest boy who usually opts out of arts and crafts these days was excited to join in on our rainbow craft.
We made our rainbows with 6 q-tips that we taped together with 2 pieces of packing tape. Â Leave the tips out so they can be used for painting.
To dip the q-tips in different colors of paint you have to bend them so they don’t get mixed with all of the other colors. Then paint across the paper!
Then we decorated our projects with clouds, a sun and a pot of gold. To glue these on we used our Elmer’s Early Learners glue sticks! Â They are the best for my little guy!
We have some gold sparkly paint that we used to decorate the pot of gold. They also used their q-tips to dot on some raindrops.
I absolutely LOVE how they turned out!!
Want a great rainbow book to go along with this rainbow craft?
What Makes a Rainbow? by Betty Ann Schwartz has been our favorite for years!
This is so cute. I love that book, “What Makes A Rainbow” too.
I can’t enter the giveaway (Canadian) but wanted to still let you know I loved this 🙂
Wishing you a lovely day.

I love how your rainbow and scene came out. Super cute. Think I might get my girls to try something similar this month for Art.
I too can’t enter { I’m in Australia }.
This is so creative. My favorite color of the rainbow is red! So cheerful!
