Turkey Felt Board Feather Matching

Last month’s pumpkin flannel board matching cards were so fun I decided to make some for Thanksgiving. I made a Turkey Felt Board with cards to match the feathers for my kids. This is so fun because it teaches them pattern and color recognition. There are 10 different printable turkey pattern cards you can use for your felt board using all the colors of the rainbow. Some are simple patterns and some are more advanced for older kids.
Then along with the pattern cards, I included a blank turkey that is a little larger to use to make your felt turkey. I just cut out the body and used that as a pattern for my turkey. For the legs and beak, I glued them on with fabric glue. Then for the feathers you will need 8-10 of each color to be able to make all of the patterns included. I cut out one of the longest feathers to use as a pattern to make my felt ones.
We are having lots of fun with out turkey felt board this week!

What a fun idea, Karyn! Thanks so much for sharing your printables … they make it easy to prepare the felt board activity. I featured your post as the Free Printable of the Day at the Living Montessori Now Facebook page and on Pinterest. 🙂
This is such a cute idea! I bet my daughter is just about the right age to do this. I’m pinning!
