Bible Study Guide For All Ages is a curriculum designed to be used in homeschool, churches, family bible study, Sunday school, or any other setting. It takes all ages (preschool through adult) through the Bible at the same time. The curriculum teaches the big picture of the bible, individual stories, as well as how to apply these things to our lives. It is hands-on, interactive, and colorful. There are timelines, maps, music CD’s, workbooks, and colorful pictures to help remember the stories.

We received Unit 1 of the Primary level for review in our home. The book we received has the first 26 lessons beginning with the creation. But it doesn’t only cover the Old Testament, It has lessons on the New Testament as well. They chose to not go sequentially through the Bible so that each year there are lessons about the Savior and his life. Otherwise. there would be nothing about Jesus until the third year!  I am so glad they did it this way.

With our review kit we received 2 Primary Level workbooks, 1 for each of my kids to use, ($5.95) 1 teacher manual ($9.95), 1 set of 8 1/2 x 11 full color Bible Book Summary cards ($24.95), and one CD of Children’s Bible songs ($19.95). You can see sample pages of all the various books on their site. Primary level is for kids in 1st-2nd grade.  You will need a student workbook for each child since they are consumable.

The teacher manual is wonderfully simple to use and follow. It is definitely necessary to use the curriculum. The songs on the CD are really cute and have recommended ones to learn with each lesson. There are 90 songs on the 2 discs! They help teach facts in the Bible- like the twelve sons of Jacob in a fun memorable way.  I love the Bible Book summary cards (see a sample one here). They really help give a bigger picture of what is going on in the whole book. On the back of each card there is a summary of what the pictures are all about with a few review questions, too. The scriptures in the lessons use the NIV version of the Bible. I do wish they had a King James version, since that is what I prefer. But it hasn’t been much of a problem since i can pull out our Bible and read them there instead.

My kids are having a blast with this curriculum. Each time we pull it out to use, they say: “Yeah! I love this!!” They love coloring and drawing on the pages and answering the questions. I am loving it as well. I love what they have learned and that it helping to solidify the stories and lessons in their minds. I love the little “Apply It” sections that have questions to help the kids understand the message of the Bible story. The great things about this program is that you can use it all at once with varying ages. Then the workbooks correspond with the ages of your kids.

The only problem I have seen so far is that the student pages fall apart very easily. The first time we used it, pages started falling out. I ended up stapling it together to they stay put and that works for us.

This is a very solid curriculum and I am so glad we have had the chance to review it in our home. I think my kids would love to continue on with it when we finish this unit.

P.S. We bought the next unit because we love it so much!
