Arts and Crafts are popular here at our house, especially with my daughter (and myself)! She is always begging for more arts, crafts and handiwork. I enjoy it, but don’t always have time to do it with her as often as she would like. To feed her love, I have recently tried out some craft kits that she has been completely obsessed with by Cool Brands. We received two different ones to review and share with you. One is called Text Cool and the other is Knits Cool. They are fun, easy for kids to use, and unique!
Let me tell you a little about the Text Cool craft kit first. Text Cool is a bracelet making kit that works a little like a label maker. It imprints words onto plastic bracelets. You can write any messages or symbols on the bracelets. There are over 60 letters and emoticons as well as 35 bracelets of different colors and patterns to use. You can really be creative and make all kinds of fun things! My daughter used them to make a set of bracelets for her little club of best buddies. This is such a fun, interactive toy and I think it would be a great gift for any young girl! This toy is available to purchase at Amazon, Walmart, Target and Toys R’ Us.
The other fun one we tried was the Knits Cool craft kit. Knits Cool Knitting Studio is a kit that teaches kids to knit in a VERY easy way! Neither my daughter nor I knows how to knit, but we figured it out and have had a lot of fun knitting headbands and scarves. She is planning all kinds of Christmas gifts for friends and family with her little knitting studio.
It is set up so you do not need to use needles to knit. The needles stand still and then you work around them. It takes the difficult steps out making it simpler for anyone to learn how to knit. The cool thing is, my daughter and I now understand the concept of knitting and would probably be able to learn it easier after using this set. If you are into handicrafts, this is such a great way to begin! They have online videos to watch and learn more, too!
