Cursive writing is becoming a lost art and I do not want it to go away! We have always learned cursive in our homeschool. I have one son learning his cursive letters right now and he is loving it! I wanted another way to help him practice his cursive alphabet so that he is writing them properly. I made a set of printable cursive letter formation tracing cards that he is using to practice. They are working perfectly and he love them!
These cursive letter formation cards have the guided and numbered steps showing how to write each letter. Each card has the lower case and upper case letter on it to practice.
I made them big so my son can really see and learn the correct way to for the letters. They come in a PDF file with two letters per page. We printed them, laminated then cut them in half. (I ended up trimming them a little smaller than a half sheet.) Then I hole punched each one and put it on a metal ring clasp to keep the set together.
Since we laminated them, we are using a dry erase marker to trace them. This makes them re-usable, over and over again! I am thinking of my next child using them in a few years as well. (Now the work is already done!)
