Does your family love movies like mine? We are big movie watchers. Have you tried to find Frozen on Netflix? It isn’t there, along with a lot of the other great new family-friendly movies. My husband is basically a movie expert and loves sharing it with the family. The biggest problem we find with movies is that we prefer movies that are cleaner and have little to no inappropriate content. That is hard to find in most movies these days. I am excited to come across a website called VidAngel. VidAngel is the family-friendly version of Netflix. They have lots of family-friendly movies that you cannot stream on Netflix.
VidAngel is a lot like Netflix, but you don’t have to have a subscription. You purchase each movie individually as you want to watch it. The movies are just $1 for SD or $2 for HD, then you sell them back for credit (varies depending on how long you keep the film). The coolest part about VidAngel, though is that you can set editing filters on everything you watch. You control the amount of language, nudity, sex scenes, alcohol use, and violence for your account. You can even turn off the opening and closing credits.
I love this SO Much! I can have complete control over the content that is in my home. It is a great concept and I am excited to start using it with my family. I also love all of the movies that they have available on their site. There are so many great movies not here that we can’t watch on Netflix. I also love that there is no subscription at all.
While I was browsing around the site I found so many movies that I want to watch with my kids! I am excited that they are so inexpensive and that we don’t have to have yet another monthly subscription to pay for. You have the option to save movies to watch later. You can also opt to not see that film again. I like that option as well because if the covers are graphic or inappropriate, I can remove them from the feed.
Some of my favorites that I saw were:
- Guardians of the Galaxy
- Box Trolls
- Secretariat
- Dolphin Tale
- Million Dollar Arm
- We Bought a Zoo
- Marley and Me
- October Sky
- TomorrowLand
- Home
- Goonies
- Tuck Everlasting
- Heaven is for Real
- MonkeyKingdom
- Paddington
- The Lego Movie
- and Lots more!
Stop by and check out the site! They are always adding new content. You won’t be disappointed!
