Homeschool Planning with LessonTrek (Giveaway!)

This post may contain affiliate links.

I know it is only mid-summer, but I am already in the middle of my homeschool planning for the next school year. I spend a lot of time carefully planning and preparing during the summer when I have extra time. I like to map out our daily schedule to see how things will go. Once things get going in the fall, things usually need to be changed a little because there are always things that do not go exactly as I envisioned! I have been given a trial of a new homeschool planning tool called Lessontrek. It is a pretty incredible resource and I am excited to share with you how it works and how I will be using it this coming school year for my homeschool planning. I also have a giveaway as well as a discount at the end of the post!

I was sponsored by Lessontrek to review their homeschool lesson planning tool and am excited to share my experience as well as an awesome giveaway!  All opinions are mine alone.

Homeschool Planning with Lessontrek

I have tried many different homeschool planning resources over the years that I have been homeschooling and none of them have stuck with me yet (besides a good old fashioned pencil & paper).  Lessontrek is  literally the easiest thing I have ever used for planning. When I logged in and started it for the first time, it took me less than 10 minutes to have a week’s worth of lessons planned in there. I loved how quick it was. I also really loved how easy it was to change things around. If you are a homeschool mom, you know how quickly things change.

Homeschool Planning with Lessontrek

Like I said, this site is so simple to use. When you log in, you start by adding a student. You choose their grade level and the way that they will be graded. My kids are young and we don’t do any grades or tests, so I set all of mine to completion. You choose the date of week that you are planning, and start adding subjects.

This shows the subjects I have created. Once you create subjects, you start adding them into your weekly lesson plan.

Here I have added in all of the different subjects for the week.  Then with each subject you can add individual assignments. Once a subject is completed you can copy it and paste it to another day. You can also copy the entire week and paste it to the following week.  I LOVE this feature because when I plan, I like to start with the daily subject outline and go from there.  This makes it SO easy to schedule months in advance in my planning. You can also click and drag a subject to another day. You can easily switch between kids to work on either of their lesson schedules, too.

Once you have it all planned, you can print it all out, too. This is something I plan on using a lot. What I want to do with this feature is print out a weekly plan for my kids to follow. I am going to give them each a clipboard with their lesson plans. They will then mark things off on their paper as they complete their lessons each week. This will help them to know what they need to do each day. I am really excited about this!!

  1. This looks like such a cool planning program! I would love to win but I’m really temped to buy it at the rate of 50% off.

Do you know if it can also be used on an iPad? I dislike printing things so even if I could log in on my iPad, that would be super handy.

Thanks for sharing – this looks so good!

    Wishing you a lovely week.
    xoxo
