Letter of the Week: Preschool Letter J Activities

It’s the next post in the preschool letter of the week series. Today I bring you some Preschool Letter J activities. If you are looking for a theme idea for the letter J, perhaps some of these will inspire you: Â Jellyfish, Jellybean, Jaguar, Jump, Jam, Jeep, Jewel, Jack-o-Lantern, Jacket, Jungle, Juice, Juggling, & Jingle bells. Â I don’t typically focus on one theme but on many things that start with the letter J when I teach my kids.
Preschool Letter J Printable Pack
This printable pack is 20 pages of printable letter J activities. If you want a sample of what will be included, check out the Letter A post. That one is always free in my subscriber library. Each pack includes mazes, dot marker pages, color by letter, cutting pages, tracing pages, letter puzzles, coloring pages and letter templates for crafts. Â There are activities for both upper and lower case letters.
Preschool Letter J Craft: J is for Juice
For this letter craft, I used the letter J template from my printable pack and turned the end of the capital J into a cup of juice. We used a paper straw and pink construction paper and glued them on. Fun & simple!

Preschool Letter J Snack: J is for Jam
Jam Thumbprint Cookies
These Jam thumbprint cookies are actually not too bad for you! The recipe is so simple to make. You could easily make it with the kids.
1 1/4 c. Flour (Can be made gluten free by using almond flour or oat flour. We used half wheat & half white for ours.)
1/4 c. Coconut Oil
3 Tbsp Maple Syrup (or honey)
1 Tbsp Ground Flax Seed
Pinch of salt
Jam/Jelly- We used All Fruit Spread
Mix everything except the jam. Â Chill for 30 minutes. This recipe makes 12-15 cookies. Roll them into balls then press your thumb into the center to make a well for the jam. Add about a 1/2 teaspoon of jam into the middle of each cookie. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool before eating.
