Magnetic Clock Building on a Pizza Pan

Today is day 4 of my 5-day Series of Hands-On Math Games & Activities!  I have a fun playful math activity for you: Magnetic Clock Building.

Magnetic Clock Building on a Pizza Pan

This is a fun little learning activity to help kids understand the concept of telling time. It is a printable set that includes the clock numbers and hands and clock cards with hour increments for learning to tell time.

How to Make the Magnetic Clock Building Activity:

Print out the set on colored card stock paper. I used a different color of paper for each of the pages for our set. You can laminate for durability.

Add magnets to the back. I used this awesome magnetic tape for ours, but any kind of magnets will do!

For our clock base we used a metal pizza pan. It is perfect since it is round! But, if you are using this is a classroom, you could draw a circle on a chalk board or a white board and the agents will also stick.

Then let your kids or students build the clock by placing the numbers in order around the pizza pan. Pick one of the clock cards and have them match them to it by moving the hands of the clock around.

Challenge them further by calling out other times for them to build.
