We found a really fun book at the library this month, called The M & M Counting Book. When I saw it I knew we could do some fun things with it! We have been using the book do do some fun (and yummy) M & M math.
The book has you play with M & M’s making patterns, adding and subtracting by eating them! Give your kids a handful of M & M’s and read it with them- they will just love it! The book inspired me to want to do some more fun things with M & M’s. I made some printable pattern cards that you can use to further engage your kids in playing and eating M & M’s. They won’t even know they are doing math…
(Just FYI, this book is an older edition and has the tan M & M’s in it instead of the blue ones. I think there is a newer one, though.)
Since learning is always so much more fun with food ( & especially candy!) we had lots of fun with this one! I hope your kids will enjoy doing M & M math with this printable, too.
