Potty Training with the Me-ify Potty Star App

Potty Training… this subject can bring out so many interesting conversations. Parents don’t always love this process. I have a little one who is just starting to show interest in potty training. With a new baby, I would love to speed it up so we don’t have tow kids in diapers for too long!  I just discovered the CUTEST new app called Me-ify Potty Star. We have been having so much fun with it and it has really inspired my little guy to want to use the potty more often.

Me-ify Potty Star is an all-inclusive potty training app that can be used on the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch! The app features a personalized eBook starring your child, has 5 interactive potty games, 5 original potty songs, a reusable star rewards chart and helpful potty training tips. Me-ify was developed with parenting expert Julie A. Ross and created by the producers of PBS KIDS preschool television hits, Super Why! and Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood.   It is a fabulous way to inspire and encourage your little ones with potty training.

When you open up the app you get to create your personalized character for the app. You choose boy or girl, skin color hair style and color, eye color, and put in your child’s name. You can even record your voice saying their name so that each time the name is said in the story it is your voice saying it. It also gives you options of how old your child is, what names you use for pee and poo, and also for body parts. The story is darling and actually made my son giggle with delight over the fact that his name was in the story. The story tells of a child learning to use the potty. It takes them through the steps of using it, wiping, flushing, and washing hands. There are lots of ways to personalize it and make it unique to your child. Throughout the story there are songs and interactive activities to do.

The songs and games are just as fun. My son literally got off the couch and started dancing around the room when we played the songs. He immediately ran to the bathroom and asked to go potty right then!  There is a chart in the app to keep track of how often they use the bathroom.

If you have a little one learning to use the potty, you should definitely look into this one. You and your child will love it! It is selling for just $1.99 in the iTunes store.
