Are you working on the ABC’s with your little one?  My Preschool Letter of the Week series continues with today’s preschool letter E activities.  Not only does this letter of the week series include a helpful printable pack, but book suggestions, theme ideas, a craft idea, and a snack idea!

Some things that start with the letter E that could be used in your theme Letter E week include Elephant, Ear, Egg (or Easter eggs), Earth, Eel, Elf, Engines, Eagle, Eggplant, Envelope, Easter, Eyes, and Elmo.

The Letter E printables are a great resources for preschool teachers, and homeschoolers. They are even helpful for kindergarten aged kids.  include 19 pages of printable pages and worksheets to use in teaching the letter E. It has cutting pages, tracing pages, mazes, letter puzzles, coloring pages, letter matching and identifying pages, and more! It covers both lowercase letters and uppercase letters.

These letter E worksheets and printables are great for letter recognition, learning letter sounds, help with fine motor skills, writing and letter tracing skills.

Preschool Letter E Craft: E is for Ear

Preschool letter E craft- E is for Ear

This is a simple alphabet craft for the letter E. The E and the Ears are both included in my printable pack. When I cut out the ears, I left a little flap to fold back so the ears stand out from the paper. Glue this little flap onto the letter.

Preschool Letter E Snack

I was trying to think of a snack that started with an E and was having trouble. Then I realized that the letter E is fun to build!  So that’s where this idea came in. There are lots of foods that are straight lines. So give the kids a few straight line foods (carrots, pretzel sticks, celery, string cheese, etc.) and let them build!  You could also use raisins, peanuts, or other smaller foods to trace the lines of the letter, too. Just print out a large letter E on paper.

And now, it’s story time!  Yeah!  We love our stories!  Pick a couple of these up at the library to make story time more interesting.
