Teddy Bear Color Sorting

With all of the preschool stuff I have been doing lately, I was thinking it would be fun to do something with colors. I have always been sort of obsessed with color sorting. I sort my markers and my books, I sort my skittles when I eat them. It’s just the way my brain works. So, why not pass that skill on to my preschooler, right? It’s a good skill to have! Today I have a teddy bear color sorting activity for you that uses the color wheel and lots of colorful little teddy bears! This would work well with plastic counting bears, or you can print the set I created.
If you are doing a teddy-bear themed activity, you always have to have a teddy bear snack to go along with it, too!
The teddy bear color sorting set includes 32 different colored bears and a large color wheel split onto two pages that you assemble once you print it. There is also a page of white bears with a black outline that can be colored in instead of printing them in color.
These bears could be used to make patterns, counting activities, and for learning colors. There are some fun teddy bear counting and pattern books out there that would fit in well with this activity, too! I love the Teddy Bear Counting and Teddy Bear Pattern Books by Barbara McGrath.
My preschool-aged daughter really enjoyed this color sorting activity and was so happy to play along and learn!
