US Geography Lessons: Arkansas

I took a break from making my US geography units over the Summer, but I am back in action and finally have Arkansas ready to share! Â My kids were excited to start studying the US States again.
If you have not seen the previous units, the Arkansas geography lesson pack has 7 pages of US State learning activities and coloring pages. Included is a fact coloring sheet with the state bird, flower, flag, animal, map and more, a regional map, a state landmark coloring page, an Arkansas info worksheet, a blank map to draw in Arkansas, a map of Arkansas to label, and a large flag coloring page.
These units require the use of a good atlas or reference book to complete them (wikipedia works, too). 😉
We are using the following books to complete our lessons:  The 50 States by Gabrielle Balkan & National Geographic Kids United States Atlas. Both books are great and have different info in them making them both quite useful! However the questions and activities could be done with any atlas you may have.
