USA landmarks are a great thing to teach to kids when you are studying geography.  It’s even better when you can visit them!  But until you are able to see all of them, you can learn about them with this fun USA landmarks handwriting practice set.

Why Teach About the USA Landmarks?

These landmarks are an important part of our history!  It’s great fun to learn about the landmark, how it came to be any why it matters. It’s also neat when kids learn where those landmarks are so they can connect them to the geography of our country as well.  Knowing our country’s history helps us appreciate what we have and know the sacrifices made by so many to make this country what it is.

What’s Included in this Handwriting Practice Pack?

This USA Landmark handwriting pack includes 15 monuments from around the United States. Included are the following:

  • Alamo
  • Capitol
  • Empire State Building
  • Freedom Tower
  • Gateway Arch
  • Golden Gate Bridge
  • Hoover Dam
  • Jefferson Memorial
  • Lincoln Memorial
  • Monument (Washington)
  • Mount Rushmore
  • Space Needle
  • Statue of Liberty
  • Transamerica Tower
  • White House

On each handwriting practice page there is a picture of the monument. The words written 5 times for tracing and a blank line for writing it themselves.

These are great for young kids learning to read, spell and properly form letters still. I would put them in the 1st or 2nd grade range depending on your child’s abilities.
