Valentine Clay Candy Necklace

We are doing a few homemade valentine clay candy necklaces for some of the kid’s friends this year. They are pretty excited about giving these to their friends. They were so easy to make, too!
How We Made Our Clay Candy Necklaces:
To make these you need candy melts, corn syrup and elastic thread.
I used three colors of candy melts, pink, white, and brown (chocolate). Melt each one in a separate bowl in the microwave at 30 second intervals. After the candy melts are fully melted, stir in 1/4 c. corn syrup into each bowl. Only mix until it begins to seize up~ about 20 strokes. If you mix too much, it will get crumbly. Scoop into plastic wrap and allow it to cool overnight.
Once it is cooled, it will be hard but moldable like clay. Take small marble-sized pieces and roll into balls.
Poke a hole through with a toothpick. Thread onto the elastic thread. We did about 15 balls of clay for each candy necklace.
My kids had to make some candy necklaces for themselves to eat, too!
these are such good ideas!
