Build an impressive rhombicuboctahedron from paper! This printable 3D shape template turns geometry into a hands-on project kids can actually construct, hold, and explore.

A rhombicuboctahedron is a 3D geometric solid made up of 26 faces: 18 squares and 8 triangles. Building one gives students a great opportunity to explore geometric solids, faces, edges, vertices, symmetry, and spatial reasoning.

What’s Included

The printable includes templates for the two shapes you’ll need to construct your model:

• 18 square pieces
• 8 triangular pieces
• 2 shapes printed per page

To create one complete rhombicuboctahedron, print 9 pages of squares and 4 pages of triangles.

I recommend printing the templates on cardstock to make the finished model sturdier and easier to assemble.
