Looking for a creative and educational Valentine’s Day activity for your kids or students? This Valentine’s Math Pascal’s Triangle project is the perfect blend of math, art, and holiday fun! Inspired by our Christmas version of Pascal’s Triangle, we decided to give it a festive twist for February—with hearts instead of numbers!

What Is Pascal’s Triangle?
Pascal’s Triangle is a famous mathematical pattern of numbers where each number is the sum of the two numbers directly above it. Named after the French mathematician Blaise Pascal, this triangle actually has origins dating back much earlier in ancient China, India, and the Middle East. It’s an amazing tool for teaching:
-
Addition and pattern recognition
-
Number relationships
-
Triangular numbers, binomial coefficients, and more!
If you’re new to Pascal’s Triangle, check out my original post on the Christmas version here for a deeper dive into the math behind it.
