What’s in the Bible? {DVD Giveaway!}

We have had the great privilege this last month to review a really great movie called What’s In the Bible? vol. 10 Jesus is the Good News! This was our first experience with the series and we received it to review for free. What’s in the Bible is a series created by Phil Vischer, the same creator of VeggieTales~ which we have loved for a long time. The What’s in the Bible? series, however is more educational in nature, but still has all of the fun stuff included. There are songs, animated characters, puppets, and silly jokes. The movies teach stories and concepts from the Bible in such a fun and engaging way to kids (and adults!). Each DVD in the 13-set series teaches another part of the big book and how they all fit together. His goal is to bring the entire Bible to families in a way that everyone can understand and enjoy it. This series can give kids a foundational knowledge of Bible stories and principles.

The movie we received, Jesus is the Good News! is from the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and tells of Jesus’ life here on earth and all that He did. It also gives a great introduction to the background of what happened before He came. There are  TWO 25 minute episodes: God’s Perfect Timing – Buck Denver (the puppet star of the show) and the crew learn about the 400 years between the Old and New Testaments and how Jesus arrives at just the perfect time & The Messiah Has Come! – Where they teach about the life and ministry of Jesus-how He died for us and rose again for each of us!
