Family Interview for Parents & Grandparents

Have you lost a parent or grandparent and wished that you could have a little more time with them to ask them all those things you can’t remember?   I wrote a family interview that can be used with parents, grandparents or any relatives. This is an awesome way to record those stories and memories for posterity before they are gone from your life. It is a beautiful way to create lasting memories for your kids.

Growing up, you do not always pay attention to the details of the lives of your parents and grandparents. I decided I wanted my kids to have the chance to really get to know their grandparents while they are still young and vibrant.

We set up a few day for the kids to visit their 2 sets of grandparents and interview them.  We plan to record the interviews on video, too! I am so excited to record their stories and preserve these memories. My parents and inlays are all excited about the idea, as well.  Who doesn’t love to tell stories about their lives?

This family interview has more than 50 questions in 4 different categories. I wanted to make the interview comprehensive. It could be condensed for use with younger kids, but I added in more detail for older kids or even for adults to use with parents.

There are questions about their childhood, school and work life, adult life and lasting impressions on life.
