It’s time for the Weekly Virtual Book Club for Kids post! This week’s book is Fox in Socks and I have some rhyming word puzzles that you can print to use along with the book! See ALL of our book activities for kids.
Fox in Socks is a classic Dr. Seuss books that reminds me of my childhood. In the traditional Dr. Seuss style, it is silly and has plenty of nonsense words for the sake of fun rhymes. The whole book is one big tongue twister!
I used rhyming words from the story Fox in Socks for all of the puzzles making them great to use along with the book . These rhyming word puzzles are suited for kids who are already reading, or those who can at least recognize the sounds of rhymes if they are being read to.
Even my preschool daughter liked playing with these puzzles because of the different shapes.
There are 10 different puzzles, with 5 different shapes and 2 puzzles for each shape. I printed them on different colored papers to make them more exciting for the kids. Bright colors are ALWAYS more fun! The colors also helps them distinguish which pieces go with which puzzles to make it a little easier on them.
