Make Your Own Picasso

We have been having fun learning about Pablo Picasso this month. Â We like to do art projects to go along with our artist studies. Â Picasso is a fun artist to try to recreate his style because they are so different from the norm.
When we study an artist, we love looking through a variety of his paintings and then choosing one particular one to replicate. Since he has a lot of self-portraits and other portraits we decided to go that route.
Here is a Picasso art project we did to resemble his art work. We drew self portraits of ourselves in really bright colors.  Once we were finished coloring them, we cut them up and pieced them back together in a strange way.
That’s awesome! We are just wrapping up a study of Picasso too =-) We also made a picture, cut it up & glued it back together. I don’t think my son realized what we were going to do because he started crying when I started pasting it back together wrong. Maybe he thought it was going to be a puzzle…..he gets it now….and now I have that funny memory!! Thanks for linking up to Living Life Intentionally Linky Party =-)
Just saw your post at LLI Linky Party. Cute! I have to do that sometime.
Yeah! There are more art lovers out there! I am a big fan of helping kids learn to appreciate art while they are young. I will have to check out the lapbook resource -thanx!
Those are great! I’m definitely going to have the kids try that soon.
This is such a fabulous idea and a great way to study art. I love your finished results. I am a new follower from the Living Life Intentionally Linky Party. Vicky from http://www.messforless.net
