A really long time ago, I made a place value flip chart with my kids. It was so fun and a great way for them to learn the concept. This time around, I made a set of place value cards. This is a quick and easy way to learn place values in a hands on way.

If your kids are learning about place values, I just came across a fabulous book called Count to a Million by Jerry Pallotta. It teaches all about counting to 1 Million by teaching numerals and place values. It is so helpful in helping kids to understand the whole concept!

My printable place values cards are fun, colorful and simple to use with your kids!  To use them, just print them and cut them out. Each place value is a different color and length so they can easily be stacked on top of each other to build numbers through the millions. I laminated ours to make them long-lasting, but card stock would also help do the trick, too!

My daughter thought these were the coolest thing I have made in a long time!  She especially loved putting the place value cards in number order.
