Mystery Valentine’s Day Game

Forget the usual Valentineโ€™s Day craftsโ€”this Mystery Valentine’s Day Game turns students (or family members) into detectives! This Mystery Valentine’s Day Game is reminiscent of the Murder Mystery parties, but is better suited for a classroom or kids-friendly setting.

In the story, the candy heart jar has gone missing.  The culprit left behind cryptic clues. Players must work together to gather evidence, interview suspects, and figure out who swiped the sweets. The best part? This isnโ€™t your standard โ€œread and guessโ€ scenario; participants actively question each other, analyze clues, and solve the mystery step by step. They will all be excited to play along!

How To Play the Mystery Valentine’s Day Game

  1. Assign Roles: Five participants play the suspects, each with a backstory and suspicious behavior. The rest become investigators on the trail of a candy thief.
  1. Distribute Clues: Hand out or hide the Clue Cards, which offer hints like broken jar lids, mysterious notes, and pink chalk stains. These clues point to the real culprit.
  1. Investigate: Investigators pose questions to suspects, compare alibis, and debate which evidence is the most convincing. The more creative the questioning, the more fun the game!
  1. Unmask the Thief: Once everyone has had a chance to gather information, the group votes on who they believe took the candy hearts. Finally, reveal the โ€œofficialโ€ solution for a dramatic finale.

  2. Communication Skills: Asking questions, making accusations, and discussing theories improves verbal expression.
