Last week, I posted about the Rainforest Animal Crafts book that we got at the library. Another really fun book that we found was Crafts From Your Favorite Fairy Tales, by Kathy Ross and Vicky Enright. I have to say that I was just as excited about this book as my daughter was. We have been having fun going through this book. It has crafts form some of our favorites: Little Mermaid, Rapunzel, Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Puss in Boots, and Little Red Riding Hood, etc.
So far, we have made two of the crafts from the book- the Little Mermaid Castle and Rapunzel’s Tower. Today I will show you how to make the Rapunzel Tower.
You will need a paper towel tube. Cut the top to look like the top of a castle. Also, cut out a window for Rapunzel’s face.
Paint it whatever color your daughter would like- mine chose purple, of course.
Cut 10 pieces of yellow yarn, (3x the length of the paper towel tube). Fold them in half and knot the top- leaving a little loop at the top of the knot. Braid it and tie a small piece of yarn around the bottom of the braid to secure it.
