Cheesy Pizza Roll-ups

This post may contain affiliate links.

My kids really love pizza. They could have it a few times a week. My husband and I don’t get quite as excited about eating it as often as the kids do. A LONG time ago, a friend of mine gave me a great recipe for pizza roll-ups that I loved. I pulled it out recently to make with the kids and they were so happy with them.  They are so easy to make and make the pizza feel different and a little special.

Easy pizza roll-ups

They are so easy to make!  You just use your favorite pizza crust dough (I use this one and make it with half wheat flour).  Roll out the dough into a rectangle.  Sprinkle on your favorite yummy grated cheese- I love the Mexican blend from Kraft because it has so much flavor! You can add in any favorite pizza toppings now.  Roll up the dough starting with the long edge of the rectangle. Pinch the ends a little to secure the dough. Slice them into pieces. To make slicing easier, I froze mine for a half hour to an hour so that the dough was firm. Then you can slice through it without squashing them.  Place the pieces on a greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes- or until the dough is cooked through and golden.  Serve hot with tomato sauce for dipping.

Simple, delicious & a crowd pleaser for the kids!!!  You could also make a bunch of these and freeze them for another day!
