Looking for a fun patriotic activity for your kids this week?  Check out this cute & simple Patriotic Scavenger Hunt!

This week is one of my favorite weeks of the year.  The 4th of July is truly my all-time favorite holiday! I love all of the great family-friendly celebrations that happen.  Where we live there is a LOT to do the week of the 4th, and we love to take part in as many as we can!  This year, I thought it might be fun for the kids to do a patriotic scavenger hunt while we are about and about on the week of the 4th.

Patriotic Scavenger Hunt

I made this free printable Patriotic Scavenger Hunt for my kids and for yours!  The kids can check off or color in the stars as they find all of the different things on the list. We used this at our Fourth of July parade and the kids had so much fun searching for their list of patriotic items.

Included in this scavenger hunt are: American Flag, Stars, Parade float, Fireworks, Sparkler, Balloons, Bandana, Musical Instrument, Popsicle, Bell, Patriotic Hat, Stripes, Noisemaker, Hot Dog.

Just print it out on some regular copy paper and bring along a pen, pencil or crayon for kids to use as they find each item.  These could also be laminated or put into a dry erase pocket to make them reusable for multiple kids.

Does your family have some favorite traditions that you celebrate this time of year?  We like to visit a local colonial festival that they have each year. We also love our local parade and fireworks. Plus, there is always a street festival downtown that we go to each year.

It is SUPER hot this month, so we are making sure we have lots of water & sunscreen.  Have a lovely, & safe holiday week!  Enjoy your family.
