Build-a-Dinosaur Puzzles
Kids love putting puzzles together, and these dinosaur puzzles are a fun way to introduce dinosaur names while strengthening visual-spatial skills.
Each dinosaur has been divided into seven puzzle pieces. Children match the pieces to the picture on the puzzle mat to build the complete dinosaur.
Included dinosaurs:
- Tyrannosaurus Rex
- Triceratops
- Stegosaurus
- Brontosaurus

These puzzles are especially great for:
- Fine motor skills
- Visual discrimination
- Problem solving
- Dinosaur vocabulary

Dinosaur Fossil Matching Activity
Have you ever wondered what dinosaur skeletons looked like beneath all that skin?
This printable matching game lets kids compare dinosaurs with their fossil skeletons.
My kids’ favorite way to play was pretending they were paleontologists!
We matched the dinosaur picture to its skeleton, then held the cards up to a sunny window. The skeleton showed right through, making it look just like a real dinosaur X-ray.
It’s a simple activity, but it was always a huge hit.

These Dinosaur Fossil Matching Cards include a set of 6 different dinosaurs and their matching skeletons or fossils.
Included dinosaurs:
- T. Rex
- Triceratops
- Stegosaurus
- Parasaurolophus
- Brachiosaurus
- Pterodactyl

This can be used as a matching game, or you can use them to make dinosaur x-rays. This is what my kids liked best. Match the cards up with the regular dinosaur on the front and the skeleton on the back and hold them up to a bright window. You will be able to see the skeleton right through and it will look like an x-ray.
It’s a cool way so show kids what the dinosaur bones look like!
