Religious holidays are very important to our family. I work hard to make them special and to help kids understand their true meanings. Today I want to share with you a lovely idea for a Christ-Centered Easter devotional to do with your family.
This beautiful Easter devotional could be done over time or all on one day. I love to focus on Easter for a full week of devotionals in our school. You can see a few of my past ideas for having a Christ-Centered Easter: A Week of Christ-Centered Easter Activities and my post on The Easter Story in Eggs.
The resources used for this post were created by my friend Alicia at Your Vibrant Family. She has made a whole bundle of amazing resources to have a Christ-Centered Easter. There are four different parts to the bundle and each can be bought individually. There is one geared towards teaching Families, one for Women, one set for Marriage and one that has darling Home decor ideas. Or, you can get the whole bundle, which is what I chose to do since each has different and valuable resources! This is launch week and so there are great deals on it! I’ll tell you more about the pricing in a bit.
We have been growing some wheat grass in little Easter pails, so I used them for the pretty Easter signs included into bundle. They are full size, sheets, but I printed them two per page on card stock to make it work in our pails. I attached them to colored paper straws.
My favorite part that I am starting this week with my kids is the Easter Resurrection Tree. There are little printable cards that each have a gift Christ has given us along with a scripture. We will be putting one card on the tree each day leading up to Easter. We will read the scripture and discuss the gift. It is like a little Jesse Tree, if you have seen those at Christmas time. You could also use these cards as an Easter egg hunt and put the cards inside plastic eggs instead of on the tree.
There is also a printable journal that goes along with it. It includes the gifts in more detail and a page for writing out the scripture or other thoughts for each one. It is beautiful and I am so excited to use it with my kids!
