Read Around the World: Brazil Unit

This year we are going to be learning a lot about Brazil! With the Summer Olympics being hosted in Brazil, I wanted to do some fun things to teach my kids all about it. Plus, my husband served a 2 year mission there, so it’s a country we are fond of in our home! I have been working on a whole Read Around the World unit with 8 countries. The Brazil unit is the first one completed. Just in time for the Olympics!
This unit will focus on books about Brazil. Find a few of these books online or at your library. Along with the books are recipes, craft ideas, video links about Brazilian culture, questions about Brazil to answer, a Brazil flag to color and a Christ the Redeemer statue coloring page. It has lots of fun stuff included and is a great, simple geography unit for your kids. These units are meant to be done once each week.

Hello Karyn! Thank you so much for including The Sock Thief! I hope your kids enjoyed it. You and the kids might also enjoy my website – http://www.anacrespobooks.com – where you can find downloadable activities for The Sock Thief and even learn how to pronounce the words in Portuguese. Thanks again! And have fun! Ana
Hi Karyn. I’ve signed up several times to be able to get to the Brazil unit specifically. I would like to be able to get to some of the others as well. Maybe I am doing something wrong. It thanks me for registering & tells me that I will receive an e-mail with a link. I haven’t received any e-mails. If you could please help, that would be wonderful 🙂
Hey! I just checked and it says that it has sent. It may have gone to your spam. I will send over the link to the subscriber library for you. 🙂
Awesome! I’m from Brazil but I want to teach a lot of things about other countries to my children in the future.
Please send me the unit on Brazil.
Thanks for this awesome work!
