We had tons of downloads of the Winter Geoboard Cards  & the Autumn Geoboard Cards I made a few months ago. Now I have a set of Spring Geoboard Activity Cards for you!

Geoboard activities are so much fun for kids. They are perfect for a math learning center or lesson in a homeschool or school setting.

What is a Geoboard?

New to using a geoboard? Let me tell you about them and why we love them in our home. A geoboard is used in math as a manipulative (or something you can use with your hands to learn!) They are basically just a little peg board.

You can make your own with nails or push pins in a piece of wood (See how we made our own), or buy pre-made ones.

THIS is the one I have, but there are many styles and varieties you can purchase! They are available at many online sites and in any teaching stores. You can also grab a bag of these colored rubber bands to make building pictures more fun! Loom bands are also great to use for geoboards.

Geoboards are perfect for hands on math activities in your school or homeschool. They are wonderful for teaching beginning geometry. You can use them for area and perimeter. You can build 2d shapes with them and create patterns.

Kids will practice using counting skills to use geoboards because they need to count the number of pegs they are using. As well as the math skills, it also is good for fine motor skills for your younger kids.

I love to print the geoboard cards, laminate them and put them on rings. Then you can make them last a long time.

You can get an inexpensive laminator on Amazon. I love mine & use it all the time for many different things. It’s worth the investment.

Once the geoboard activity cards are printed and laminated, you can get them out for your math lesson or to use in your math center in a classroom. Kids will have a ton of fun building and creating using these geoboard patterns!

We are making geoboard activity cards for all of the seasons. Make sure you come back for more later.  We love them at our house, so my kids are begging for more.

  1. This is a great activity for homeschooled kids! I never thought of it until I saw this post. This will definitely improve their analytical and mathematical skills! For sure their creativity will be improved as well. It would be fun if played by three to four kids. Got to print different designs now! Thanks for sharing this very insightful post!
