Zometools- STEM Construction Toys

We have this set of STEM construction toys that are pretty much the coolest things ever called Zometools. Not many people have heard of them yet, so I wanted to talk about them and get the word out. Â They are this hidden gem of awesomeness. Â I want to start by saying that this is not a review or a sponsored post. I bought these last year and have loved them so much, that I just wanted to share the coolness with all of you!
Zometools are STEM at its best! Â It is this incredible construction set that will provide so many hours of fun! Â You can build geometric shapes with them. You can build structures and buildings and bridges, you can even dunk them into soapy water and make shape bubbles with them!
The Zometools have these little connector balls with different shaped holes. Then the sticks that connect are all shaped differently. So when they connect them, they have to match the sticks to the correct holes. It really makes them think.
As I said, we have had these for a while and they have not gotten old at our house. The kids regularly pull them out and create with them. Â Last week, I wanted to try some new things with them, so I got them out and started building some cool things. When my kids came into the room and saw what I was doing, they were all instantly involved and helping create all kinds of neat structures and shapes.
We wanted to try making bubbles with them, so I made up a big pot of warm soapy water. I let the kids experiment with making bubbles with their creations. We had a blast!
On the Zometool website, they have some educational downloads that you can grab for free! Â These help give you building and teaching ideas to use.
I got mine on Amazon. We got the Creator 3 Construction Kit because I wanted to have enough pieces to build big things. It is frustrating when you don’t have enough pieces to build what you really want!  They have all different sized kits available to purchase.  They even have some challenge cards and a Zome Geometry book to give kids building ideas.
