We love to talk about the chemistry behind these slime recipes when we make them. Click through the different recipes to learn about it.

Since they are all made of lots of sugar, edible candy slimes tend to be a bit more sticky, just a warning! 🙂 Luckily hands are washable. But you may want to play with them on a washable surface, not the carpet or couch.

I have made a bunch of slime recipes that kids can eat, and we keep on trying new ones, so I wanted to put them all in one place for you. I know this can be a little cool, but gross. Who wants to eat something they have been playing with? I get it! If you are grossed out by that, a simple solution is to make sure hands and surfaces are very clean before jumping in to these recipes.

You will just need a few ingredients to make these super fun edible slime recipes.

  • Various edible candies
  • Cornstarch and powdered sugar
  • Microwave safe bowl (or a stove)
  • Coconut Oil
  • Candy Sprinkles
  • Plastic bags or other containers to store them in after

You can get ALL of the recipes in one place in my Edible Slime Recipes book!

All of the Best Edible Slime Recipes

1. The first edible slime we ever tried was made from Starburst candy! Try our Edible Starburst Slime. It’s been a huge hit! This one has been one of my top posts for a few yers now. It is easy, it is colorful and oh so tasty. You just need Starburst, corn starch and powdered sugar, plus a bowl to make it in.

2. Our latest favorite is our Sour Patch Kids Slime! It was so fun & very colorful! NO food coloring is added, it is just that vibrant all on its own! I LOVE how this one turned out because of the vibrant colors, but also because when gummy candies melt, they are really a lot like your traditional stretchy slime.

3. Chocolate Slime is so yummy, but extra sticky. We sure loved making it, though! This one is made with sweetened & condensed milk, chocolate syrup and cornstarch. Mmm!

4. Edible Witches Brew Slime is a gummy bear slime made from green Gummy Bears and Gummy organs! This one is perfect for Halloween when you want to add an extra gross factor in.

5. Another great Halloween slime to make is our Candy Corn Slime. This one turned out more like a play dough that a slime, but we can still call it slime, right?!

6. Laffy Taffy Slime is a colorful and fun one! It’s made from Laffy Taffy candy, powdered sugar and cornstarch. Not only is it fun to play with, but we sure loved the taste of it, too! The texture of this one is a lot like the starburst slime.

7. Our  Marshmallow Slime would be a perfect birthday party slime when you add in colorful sprinkles! It’s made from marshmallows, coconut oil, powdered sugar and sprinkles of course!

8. Have you tried Gummy bear slime before? My all time favorite slime we have made was the Edible Gummy Bear Floam. This one is super stretchy and amazingly fun to play with! We added in hard candy sprinkles to make it like a floam. (New to floam, is is slime with little tiny styrofoam balls in it.)

9. Edible Bubble Gum Slime is so much fun! (Ok, I know I say that with all of them…) It’s just bubble cum and coconut oil in this recipe. You can still blow bubbles with it! It’s tasty, and smells amazing.

10, While not particularly tasty, this Static Slime is a fun science activity made from non-toxic taste-safe ingredients.

11.  Swedish Fish Slime is my latest edible slime. It’s bright red, stretches and tastes amazing! Plus, Swedish Fish are one of my all-time favorite candies, so anything made out of them has got to taste delicious.
