We love doing fun things that teach coding to my kids. Â I am excited to share with you today the new Osmo Coding Kit for kids! Today is the release of their brand new Coding Starter Kit!

About the Osmo Coding Starter Kit
If you are new to Osmo, they create educational play sets that pair with your tablet. Â We absolutely love their apps and and the sets that pair with them!
Osmo released this cool Coding Starter Kit just in time for the Back-to-School season! It is such a fun hands-on way to start teaching kids of all ages coding principles.
This kit can be used on three of their coding apps: Coding Awbie (beginning level coding game), Coding Jam (intermediate level coding game) and Coding Duo (advanced coding game).
The games are designed for kids aged 5-10, but really all ages have fun playing with it!
The Coding kit and the games teach kids basic coding concepts including problem solving, computational thinking and coding fundamentals. It also teaches some more complex concepts including sequencing, looping, logic thinking and programming!
The set comes with game pieces called coding blocks that can be used in all three games. Â The blocks are placed in front of the tablet and are detected by the mirror piece placed at the top over the camera area.
These coding blocks have different instructions on them such as walk, jump and grab that you use to maneuver the game players around and collect different objects or accomplish tasks.
