38 Not So Scary Halloween Movies for Kids

Need a great list of great Halloween movies for kids?  This list is my non-scary list, because I do not love to be scared!  🙂 I also don’t love for my kids to wake up during the night with nightmares from scary movie they watched! This is a great list of Halloween classics and would be perfect for a 31 days of Halloween Movies, or a family movie night during October.
Some of you may shudder to hear me say this, but Halloween is not my favorite holiday. Â I don’t like the history of it. I do not like the scariness of it and I do not like the gory costumes. Since I am not a fan of spooky things, how do we navigate this spooky season? Â We still have a lot of fun on Halloween!
I do love fun costumes and the light side of the holiday. I enjoy taking my kids out trick-or-treating on Halloween night and having a not-so-scary day together. We avoid the haunted house and creepy things and keep to the family-friendly activities.
I feel the same way about movies. I have never liked the scary horror movies. My kids love holiday movies, so I wanted to compile a list of Not-So-Scary Halloween Movies for Kids. Â These are Best halloween movies for young kids and those that scare easily. Â I feel comfortable letting my kids watch these movies, and know that they won’t give them nightmares!
If you are horror fans, this list will probably not be for you! Â But they can help you get into the Halloween spirit!

Our neighborhood has an awesome halloween carnival every year. At each house they plan activities, games and fun things for the kids to do as they walk around trick-or-treating. Someone always has a hay-ride going, hot chocolate, caramel apples, carnival games, and more.
At our house, we like to project a Halloween movie for the kids to watch. I play different kid-friendly halloween movies for them to watch. It makes the holiday really fun for our family! Which of these classic Halloween movies should I choose next?
