What’s Included in the Cookie Spelling Printable

This hands-on literacy set includes:

  • Full A–Z alphabet in cookie letter designs

  • Numbers 0–9

  • 20 three-letter sight-word cards for beginner spelling

  • Cut-and-play format for quick setup

Kids can match the cookie letters to the printed sight words — or build their own words!

These cookie sight word cards were inspired by a favorite book of ours, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff. We love this whole series!  It’s a great book to add to the lesson!

How to Use the Cookie Sight Word Spelling Cards

  1. Print and cut the cookie alphabet pieces

  2. Choose a sight-word card from the set

  3. Build the word using the cookie letters

  4. Read the word aloud for extra practice

  5. Repeat and celebrate each new word mastered!

You can also:

  • Spell your child’s name

  • Practice CVC words

  • Sort vowels and consonants

  • Create a cookie word shop for pretend play

  • Use a cookie tray as a magnetic spelling board (just add magnets!)

This is playful phonics at its best — kids don’t even notice how much they’re learning!
