There is nothing better than a chocolate chip cookie. So why not use them for spelling? My kindergartner is loving all things reading and spelling right now, so I created this fun set of sight word spelling cards and the letters are made of chocolate chip cookies!
Today I am participating in the Virtual Book Club for Kids. This weeks book is If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff. This has LONG been one of our favorite books. We love the whole series! So I was excited about this selection. Honestly, I feel like these stories are a reflection of my life with little kids! 🙂 If you have not read this one or the others of this series, definitely check them out!
With our cookie letters, we did some cookie sight word spelling practice. This little printable set has the alphabet and numbers from 0-9. It also includes 20 3-letter word matching cards.
You print and cut the letters, then match them to the word cards. This is a great intro to easy words for your beginning readers and spellers.
You can use the letters without the spelling words, too! You can spell your child’s name or any other words they want to learn. Since them are made of cookies, kids think they are pretty neat.
These are available in my shop!
