It’s October and that means it’s time for some fun Halloween activities for your little learners! Â Today I have a cute printable Halloween Counting Book that will be perfect for a halloween math activity for preschool and kindergarten aged kids.
What’s in the Halloween Counting Book?
Easily incorporate Halloween-themed math into your lessons this month with the Halloween Counting Book!
This printable Halloween book has 11 pages: a cover pages and a page for each number from 1-10. Each page has a picture with something to count. Then there is a blank space for kids to write the number they counted, or make it re-usable and have them fill in the numbers with plastic numbers.
The pictures included in the counting book are:
- Cat
- Bat
- Pumpkin
- Candy
- Tree
- Cupcake
- Gum Balls
- Spider
- Witch Hat
- Haunted House
Peek inside & listen to my daughter “read” it!
Just print it out, cut it and staple it and you are ready to go!
What I love about this little book is that kids can learn to read it. Â Even if they are not quite reading yet, they will learn it and know what it says by the pictures. Every time my kids have made a book like this, they treasure it and read it over and over again. The repetition is great for them, but also the counting practice is so valuable.
Pair the printable book with some favorite Halloween picture books:
Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson
Inside a House that is Haunted by Alyssa Satin Capucilli
One, Two. . . Boo! Â by Kristen Depken
How Many Seeds in A Pumpkin? by Margaret McNamara
Pumpkin Jack by Will Hubbell

Is there a way to make the book smaller to where they are half the size to save paper? I love them as it but it’s a lot of paper for a few kids..

Yes! You can do that in your print settings. You can just print multiple sheets per page.
