Why use pattern blocks in your math lesson?

They are great for teaching kids about shapes, first of all. But, beyond that, it helps kids to see how shapes are made by combining other shapes. They are learning critical thinking. They also learn symmetry and patterns, angles, and equivalence.  They are great for beginning geometry.
