How to Make the DIY Suncatcher Sun Craft

Cut the Sun Frame:

  • Cut out the center of the paper plate, or cut a sun out of construction paper.
  • Carefully cut sun rays around the outer edge of the plate.

Attach the Sticky Backing:

  • Place the sun frame face-down onto a piece of contact paper (sticky side up).
  • Press the frame down firmly.

Fill with Color:

  • Cut colorful pieces of tissue paper into small pieces.
  • Use the tissue paper pieces to fill in the window space by sticking it to the sticky side of the contact paper.
  • Kids can make patterns, gradients, or random color placements.
