Why We Love Learning Spanish

Spanish is our language of choice to study at home because it’s so commonly used in everyday life. We hear it in stores, on signs, and even in casual conversations. Because it’s all around us, learning Spanish just makes sense!

We’ve used several Spanish teaching tools over the years, and one of our favorites is Foreign Languages for Kids by Kids. If you’re curious, I shared a full review here:

But even the best video-based programs benefit from offline reinforcement. My kids love watching the videos, but I wanted a way for them to practice vocabulary without screens—and flashcards weren’t cutting it anymore. That’s where these puzzles come in!

What’s Included in the Spanish Vocabulary Puzzles

These printable puzzles focus on 15 beginner Spanish vocabulary words. Each puzzle is divided into three parts:

  • The Spanish word

  • The English translation

  • A matching illustration

Kids match all three parts together, which helps reinforce meaning, pronunciation, and word recognition.

These puzzles correspond with the first four lessons of Foreign Languages for Kids, but they work great on their own, too!
