Bubble Wrap Printmaking

One of our favorite bubble wrap activities is creating bubble wrap prints:

  • Just paint onto a sheet of bubble wrap.
  • Press a piece of paper onto the painted side.
  • Peel it back to reveal a cool, textured print!

You can do this with any color of paint. My daughter always chooses pink and purple and loves mixing the colors to make them even more vibrant. It’s messy, creative, and tons of fun. If your kids enjoy process art, this is a must-try!

After we did this she told me I come up with the “funnest ideas”.  It made me feel all warm & fuzzy inside to know that my efforts are appreciated! 🙂

Bubble Wrap Sight Word Pop

This simple game helps young readers practice sight words:

  • Use large bubble wrap.
  • Write one sight word on each bubble.
  • Call out a word and let your child find and pop it.

It’s surprisingly satisfying and sneaky reading practice. (Note: It is a little tricky to write on the bubbles, but a permanent marker works best.)
